I grew up bilingually (German and Italian) and attended an international school where courses were taught in different languages yet mainly in English. Speaking, writing, and switching between different languages from an early age enabled me to understand language systems. The particular interest in the English language led me to study the Bachelor of English and American Studies and French. Therein, I broadened my knowledge of grammar and difficulties faced in second language acquisition. I applied this knowledge as I tutored students in English and discovered the joy of contributing to the student’s learning process. Apart from academia, I also enjoy a creative approach to language and have given online Creative Writing seminars over the past months which have familiarised me with online teaching.
